I learned toymaking from my grandfather. In turn I have made toys for my son, my nephews and friends. My toys emulate the female and male in the animal kingdom; fertility and childbearing; rattles to sing to the newborn; incense burners to celebrate the holy days; lovers dancing to the sun at the heartbeat of the stars….
After Orig was born, he received a toy from me every two weeks. As he matured, he began to make orders from his imagination. He would send a primitive sketch and I would realize his vision. Soon that caught on and children began to send me drawings and I would make toys from their imagination.
